First Indian film to be shot in the Harvard University
Jallikattu 5-23rd Jan 2017 directed by Santhosh is the first Indian film to be shot in the prestigious Harvard University, USA. The team sought special permission to shoot a sequence of the film in this prestigious University as this has been the melting point of several eminent work and has produced some of the best scholars and visionaries from this campus. It was indeed a moment of great pride for the team of the Jallikattu 5-23rd 2017, feature film team to film an important sequence in this Campus.
It has been identified that the protest by the youngsters and the people of Tamil nadu for lifting the ban on Jallikattu goes down in history as the single largest uprising in the anarchy style and has made the world look upon as to bring about the change that we want.
When initially the film team presented the idea to the members of the screening committee at the Harvard, it received instant support and the idea was greatly welcomed. The committee extended great support for the filming and the team had a great interaction with several scholars and researchers at the campus.
This is the first Indian to be shot in the campus of Harvard University where several of the students, researchers and others from the University campus participated.
It’s pertinent to note that the same venue where DR Kamal Haasan had delivered his prestigious lecture at the Harvard was also filmed by the team and it marks a glorious moment for the entire team. Previously few award winning films such as Good will Hunting, Social network and the classic Love Story were shot in this place. This Alma mater has produced some eminent members from various segments of the society. John F Kennedy, Al Gore, Barak Obama are just a few to mention from this long list of over 3 centuries of supremacy.
