The film is presented by Reliance Entertainment and Produced by Prince Pictures, S. Lakshman Kumar Following the critically acclaimed box office hit movie ‘Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru’, success pair Karthi and Rakul Preet Singh collaborate as lead actors again in this film. Other main star cast include Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishnan, R.J. Vignesh, Amrutha, Renuka and others. Navarasa Nayagan Karthik makes a special guest appearance Rajath Ravishankar makes his directorial debut with this film, and shall pen story, screenplay and dialogues. He is a former associate / Co Director of well established filmmakers Saravanan, R. Kannan and Bollywood’s Anurag Kashyap.

'Karthi 17' will be a Harris  Jayaraj musical treat and the chief technical crew comprises of  R Velraj (Cinematography), Ruben (Editing), Jayashri Narayanan (Art Direction), Anbariv (Stunt Direction), KV Durai (Executive-Producer) and Jay Jagaveeran (Associate Producer)

S Lakshman Kumar of Prince Pictures, who earlier produced Suriya’s blockbuster hit movie ‘Singam 2’ is bankrolling this project. He is currently involved in the production of ‘Mohini’  starring Trisha, directed by Madhesh which is slated for release shortly.

The shooting of "#Karthi17" is scheduled to commence on March 8th  in Chennai followed by 15 days schedule in European countries and then in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Himalayan regions.
