‘Namma Chennai Namma Geththu’ Themed Panel Discussion at Express Avenue for Madras Day
Express Avenue Mall, Chennai's award winning fashion and entertainment mall celebrated Madras Day on 22 August 2019 at Central Atrium of the Mall. This year for 380th Birthday of the city, Express Avenue hosted an interesting panel discussion themed: Namma Chennai Namma Geththu.
On account of Madras Day, in association with CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) & Young Indians Chennai chapter, eminent personalities from various backgrounds around the city, such as Padmashri Dr. Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti, Ms. Suhasini Manirathram, Actress, Director, Producer, Writer, Ms. Shveta Jaishankar, Author and Former Miss India, Anil Srinivasan, Pianist and Ms. Rohini Rau, India’s No 1 Woman Sailor took active part in the panel discussion.
Discussion happened over various important aspects of the city like the dynamic population, changing food & fashion culture, the music scene, comedy culture, civic issues in the city so on and so forth.
With Express Avenue’s 9th year Anniversary, a month-long series of events have taken place - Starting with Wellness Fest, World Photography Day, and now Madras Day. The highlight of Madras Day, along with the anniversary month, is articulate the fact Express Avenue is one of the pioneers for establishing shopping culture in the city of Chennai. Express Avenue, being the First world class Mall in the city for the people of Chennai, has also significantly contributed during the metamorphosis of Madras to Chennai.
The initiative for the event is to provide a platform for the panelists and people to come indulge in discussion about Namma Chennai. It has been Express Avenue’s endeavor to give, back to the city, that has made us them what they are today and on account of their 9th year milestone, Express Avenue aims to bring people together to share the love for Chennai.
