Heaven For Animals conducts a mega Vaccination drive for 1100 stray Dogs in Chennai
HEAVEN FOR ANIMALS (HFA), A Chennai based Animal Welfare non-governmental organisation is organising a "MEGA VACCINATION DRIVE" aims to vaccinate at least 1100 stray dogs in Chennai. With blazing heat upon us HFA has started to distribute 3000 water bowls for free to the volunteers and residents in Chennai to ensure no animals or birds go thirsty.
HFA aims not just to vaccinate stray dogs and but also to promote a more nuanced knowledge of pet illnesses and vaccines while highlighting the advantages of immunising stray animals for both people and other animals. The vaccination drive is one of the biggest and most ambitious projects and one of its kinds in the city where we would vaccinate a minimum of 1100 stray & abandoned dogs in the city creating a disease free / healthy ecosystem among the strays.
The vaccinations include DHPPI (7 in 1), Anti-Rabies, general health check-up and deworming for puppies will be done. This drive will be headed by an expert team of 2 doctors in 2 ambulance and 50 volunteers from the city.
