The Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay Mamallapuram has announced the launch of ‘Wharf 2.0’ – a brand new version of its popular seaside restaurant. Offering a unique al fresco setting, Wharf 2.0 will open its doors to guests on the 9th of September 2017.

“Wharf 2.0 has been conceptualised for the free-spirited, nature-loving aficionados of fine food. We’ve taken the easy-going spirit of this beautiful beach side town, combined it with our expertise in food and beverage, and concocted an experience that will leave your senses refreshed, your tummies satiated, and your soul happy,” said Vikram Cotah – COO at GRT Hotels & Resorts.

The restaurant is located within the property, right on the sandy beach overlooking the Bay of Bengal, from where guests will have a view of the UNESCO World Heritage Shore Temple monument. Every element has been picked to reflect a relaxed Bohemian vibe – from the outdoor open shacks to the nature-inspired menu.

“Being surrounded by the splendid elements of nature every day, the influence for the menu came naturally to our culinary team. Earth, fire, wind, water, and air, are heroes with courses dedicated to each of them,” said Elango Rajendran – General Manager at Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay Mamallapuram.

Catering to a range of palates, some of the dishes on the menu include: Plank-grilled bourbon and honey salmon with seasonal vegetables, mushroom and smoked mozzarella empanadas, slow roasted duck breast with honey and herb jus, Afghani angare jhinga, and gulab jamun cheesecake with green tea moss and wild berry.

Guests can pick their own pasta combinations, or meat and sauce combinations, with pairing wines to go with them all. A range of tikkas, roasts and fried sides are available and can be ordered by the sticks or dozens.
