Kodeeswari Kousalya Kharthika meet Kamal Hassan
Kousalya Khartika created television history last night on COLORS Tamil’s Kodeeswari by being the first differently-abled woman contestant to win Rs 1 crore in the show format in India. She had a special day as she celebrated her achievement with her family, friends and some special personalities.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri. Eddapadi K. Palaniswami met and lauded Kousalya Karthika for her historical win. She had a special meet and greet with the Chief Minister who spent time with her and her family along with the show host Radikaa Sarathkumar and Business Head-COLORS Tamil, Mr. Anup Chandrasekharan. It didn’t end there. She went on to meet her favourite actor Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan who appreciated her outstanding performance on the show. He told her that he was moved by the struggle that she underwent for so many years and was overwhelmed to see her win the title of Kodeeswari. He also said that he was happy as he too knew the last answer which bagged her the prize of 1 crore.
Kodeeswari Kousalya Karthika, "This is a great day for me. Almost unbelievable. I got to meet the Hon’ble Chief Minister Thiru. Eddapadi K. Palaniswami and my childhood hero Kamal sir. I was so awestruck that I couldn't talk to him. He was so patient and spoke to me so nicely. He asked me if I watched movies and even asked my husband to make me watch his film Pushpak.”
Radikaa Sarathkumar said, “It was a happy day for me, to be with our own Kodeeswari. I had a shoot but I took time off from the set just to be with her, to be part of this fantastic experience.”
Anup Chandrasekharan, Business Head, COLORS Tamil said, “This is a special day for us at COLORS Tamil. We have got our first Kodeeswari winner and she is an extraordinary lady, overcoming all the odds to emerge victorious. As they say, if you have the will you can achieve anything.”
